Maybe this is odd, but where/when I grew up, these were called otter pops. This picture is the first time I’ve heard it called a jumbo freezie. Anyone else?
Yep, we called them otter pops too, and they were a staple of the summer freezer. The red and the green were my favorites (and don’t call them cherry and lime, otter pops are only flavored by their colors, mmkay?).
I’ve never actually run across anyone else who calls them otter pops, though.

72Think Of Me
Postcard from Jack (AIF digger in France, WWI) to his girlfriend Agnes Foster, in Bendigo, Victoria. Probably 1916.
The front embroidered area of these cards would lift up and usually contain a small piece of paper with a short message of love.
Jack survived the war, and returned to Australia. He and Agnes never married.Think Of Me on Flickr.
